At Love Radiators we stock a wide range of practical, high quality Radiator Valves from leading manufacturers to complement our extensive range of
Before valves are selected, it is important to consider where the radiator inlets are situated. Depending on the make and model these connections
may be on the side or underneath the radiator. In general, although not
exclusively, heated towel rails have inlets underneath each side of the
radiator whilst standard radiators typically have side inlets,
referred to as BOE (Bottom Opposite End) connections, which allow horizontal access from each side.
It is also important to consider where pipework
originates; from the wall or the floor. Where possible, it is recommended that pipes
are sited in the wall to give the most aesthetically pleasing finish.
The following is a simple guide to identify appropriate valves.
Pipework from the wall:
For radiators with side connections, Angled or Corner Valves are required.
For radiators with connections underneath, Angled or Corner Valves are required.
Pipework from the floor:
For radiators with side connections, Angled Valves are required.
For radiators with connections underneath, Straight Valves are required.
Finally there is the option of Manual Valves which are controlled, as their name suggests, manually or Thermostatic Valves which have an in-built sensor that regulates heat outputs.
